What is Jet Plasma?

 Jet Plasma pen is a handheld plasma device made by Profasma, that uses a cooler atmospheric temperature so it does not create surface trauma like traditional fibroblast plasma. This extremely powerful device penetrates 13,000 volts of plasma through the epidermis, into the dermal and subcutaneous layers of the skin stimulating high levels of collagen and remodeling the cellular structure from the inside out. Jet plasma works by contracting and tightening the fibers inside of your skin using cold and jet plasma.

What does this mean? By using Jet Plasma technology we are able to prevent cell death from occurring which can therefore reverse and prevent ageing of the skin to certain degree!

To better understand how cold atmospheric plasma (CAP), can restructure the cells, we need to understand what happens to our cells as we age. In a nutshell, all cells change as we age. They become larger and less able to divide and multiply like younger cells do. There is also an increase in lipids and pigment inside the cells, which disables the cells’ ability to function, or the cells function abnormally. Most of this happens around age 55.

However, we begin to lose collagen and elastin (which gives our skin firmness and laxity) by age 30, and much more significantly by age 50. This is one of the primary causes of sagging skin and crepey skin, as the skin is losing it’s structure.

This is where Jet Plasma comes in!

During a treatment, when jet plasma penetrates the skin (don’t worry, you won’t feel any discomfort at all), the cold plasma is actually remodeling the cells! Shrinking them! Activating the mitochondria (the cell’s energy energy center) and improving cell metabolism!
